CMHC - Eco PLUS

Receive a 25% partial premium refund on your CMHC mortgage insurance when purchasing or building a newly built energy-efficient home. Eligible homes must meet high energy efficiency standards or have an energy efficiency certification. Apply within two years of your mortgage closing date.

Receive up to $14,000 in rebate support for home energy upgrades. Home Energy Labeling - Calgary

The Calgary Home Energy Labeling Program provides homeowners with an official energy label showing their property’s efficiency rating. This program supports better understanding of energy performance when buying, selling, or upgrading a home. Get up to $1,800 in rebates plus $200 for EnerGuide evaluations when you register under the Canada Greener Homes Grant. Kingston - Better Homes Program

Homeowners in Kingston can access a no-interest property loan up to $40,000 for deep-energy retrofits, repaid via their property tax bill over up to 20 years. The loan is tied to the property, transferring to the next owner, and can cover insulation, windows, doors, HVAC upgrades, solar, and other energy-efficient improvements.

Ottawa - Better Homes Program

Ottawa homeowners can access low-interest loans up to $125,000 (or 10% of property value) for energy-efficient upgrades, including insulation, windows, heat pumps, and solar systems. Loans are repaid over 20 years at a fixed 4.33% interest rate, with a 4% administrative fee. The loan is tied to the property, transferring to the next owner, and can be combined with federal and utility rebates for maximum savings.

Guelph homeowners can access a 0% interest loan up to $50,000 for energy-efficient upgrades, including insulation, heat pumps, solar systems, and more. Loans are repaid over 10 years via property tax bills. A 20% deposit is required, up to $10,000. Low-income applicants may qualify for grants up to $15,000 for air-source heat pumps. Program is subject to availability and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
